Jesus
He’s dying to meet you and we think you’ll love him.
If in any way we can help connect the two of you we’d love to.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest... learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
Encountering Jesus
Most people first encounter Jesus in the words of the Bible, but for others their first encounter is having a dream of Jesus.
That’s just the beginning though. We are invited into a life of hearing and responding to the Holy Spirit, that Jesus promised to those who follow him. As we live this way we start to encounter Jesus in our own lives, and can see Him at work in the lives of others trying to live this way too.
He shows us the same love and kindness as He showed to the people in the bible. It’s a beautiful thing!
Dreams of Jesus
Have you had a dream or vision of Jesus? If you have and would like to talk to someone about it, we would love to hear from you. Please do get in contact.
Be encouraged. You are not alone. The Bible has many examples of God speaking through dreams and visions and even visits from angels. One of the most famous examples of someone having a vision of Jesus is of a man named Saul. You can read about it in chapter 9 of the book of Acts:
Not only does this passage show someone meeting Jesus in a vision, it also shows us what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. Ananias heard from God, responded in obedience and as a result saw transformation and healing of those around him.
Would you like to encounter Jesus in the Bible too?
Experiencing Jesus in your life
Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit to help those who follow him. He tells us that the Holy Spirit will teach us all things and will remind us of everything Jesus taught.
We can experience Jesus in our lives today through the Holy Spirit. Jesus encouraged us to ask for this, and promised that if we ask, the Holy Spirit will be given to us.
Asking could be as simple as saying something like: “Jesus, I want to experience you in my life. Would you give me the Holy Spirit that I might experience your love for me, and be able to follow your leading in my life.”
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
Transformed by Love
Jesus cares about all the details of our life. He said that he came so that we might have life, and have it to the full. That means that if there is something hindering the wonderful and abundant life he desires for you, he wants to help you with that. He loves you dearly.
In the Bible we see Jesus healing the sick, giving sight to the blind, freeing people from spiritual oppression, even raising the dead. We see him providing for people’s basic needs, restoring relationships, welcoming the outcast and giving people new purpose.
What part of your life will you bring to Jesus today?
If you would like someone to help you do business with Jesus, we’d be delighted to - please get in touch.
Responding to Jesus
As we experience Jesus’ love for us, it causes us to respond in love and worship to Him.
As we follow the leading of Jesus, the Holy Spirit points out to us thought patterns, behaviours, things in our lives that are not Jesus’ best for us. Part of our response to Him is to turn from these old ways of life and to receive his help and grace to live His way.
If you already know something you want to turn from you might pray something like this:
“Jesus, I want to learn to live your way. I‘m sorry where I’ve not being doing so. I choose to turn from this and I ask that you would help me.“
Supporting your discipleship
People committed to learning from Jesus and living His way, under His direction are called disciples. They become apprenticed to Jesus.
If this is something you would like to do, or have already begun, we would love to encourage you and support you in that.
